coaching for stress & life transitions
Coaching differs from therapy in that it is more oriented to the future, while therapy helps resolve past pain. My approach is person-centred, and I work to establish a sense of safety, and act as a thinking partner for you to work with. I believe that when we experience the right conditions our creative brains can often surprise us with the solutions that we seek. Coaching is about creating those conditions. I specialise in working with stress, anxiety and specific life transitions such as
fertility stress
miscarriage
relationship stress
anxiety during pregnancy
a new medical diagnosis or health crisis for you or a loved one
perimenopause and menopause
fertility stress
Struggles with fertility affect many people. Whether trying to conceive, feeling anxious about the possibility of IVF, or the sadness of a miscarriage the effect on mood can be intense at times. The rollercoaster of trying each month can become exhausting, couples sometimes struggle to keep communicating or feel uncertain what their next steps should be. I offer coaching and mentoring to women and couples with fertility issues.
work related stress
Stress and anxiety play a part in all of our lives at some time. Panic attacks are now common in our society, often brought on by overwhelm, loss or conflict in the workplace or in our personal lives.
Coaching studies show reduced emotional exhaustion and increased ability to return to work in workers off sick with stress. Decreased stress in medical students, improvement in burnout in doctors and reduced stress and improved sleep and cardiovascular risk factors in healthcare workers have all been demonstrated.
how can I help?
a one-off session to explore one particular issue?
or a series of sessions to enable you to achieve specific goals and explore where you want to go and what the roadblocks might be
Nutritional therapy and acupuncture are also helpful when dealing with stress as they both work to balance hormones and gently shift the chemistry to a better place.
